Being a fan does the same thing. I don't think he's as bad as UT's saying but he wont be playing the service academy's and Syracuse anymore. He's small as hell too. I think he can make a roster and stay on it for a while but he's far from "**** good".Quote:

He's actually a little short of 6'3". I think at the combine he measued 6'2.5". In the NFL anything under 6'3" is considered small. 6'3" isn't considered big. His hands are also super small. It's not just heighth, when you see him next to other players he looks a lot smaller and fraile.Quote:

That's basically the one exception that you or anyone else can name. I liked Breese when he came out and thought then and now that Dallas was stupid for not taking him. He's bigger than Breese but I'd still take Breese. Like I said, I'm not anti Jimmy. I think he'll make a lot better living in the NFL than I will a decade or so from working. if there was just one team that would have taylored their o-game plan to the ability of Doug Flutie he would have very successful. no one really wanted to fit an offense around him, wanted him to fit into a classic scheme. I think if Flutie came out today it would be a totaly different story
I always liked Flutie too but I think you're crazy. Doug was like 5'10"/11". It's hard to see over a 6'7"/9" OL. It's already a lot different league than what Flutie played in too. It's not take the snap and run around, it's get the snap, get into a 5-7 step drop and throw the ball in about 3.5 seconds.Quote:

Montana played in a different era. It's nothing like it is today.
I've always liked McNabb but he's not a champion. The one time he had a chance to be one, he was a shrinking violet while Team Obliterator was going crazy doing everything he could with a broken ankle.
I like Rogers. I think he's a good qb.
You could about include Farve in with the Montana era. The NFL has changed into an entirely different game in the last 6-8 years.
None of these guys are bad. I would never draft a qb (other than Breese) shorter than 6'2" though. Someone will eventually break the trend and some smaller guys might have success, until then I'd stick with someone who could see over a lineman to hit a crossing route.
IMO, Jimmy Clausen is the next Todd Marinovich.
I hope Colt goes to a good team because sitting behind a good QB will help him big time

SF was not gonna get Trent Willams or Okung, Davis is by far the best of the bunch after those two. Clausen is too small, I am glad SF passed on him. If we wanna go QB, there are tons of options left, McCoy, Clausen, Pike, LeFeveur.
I wont lie, I thought Bryant would have been GREAT at 17.I wish SF took him. He has top 5 talent. Crabs/Dez would make a very dynamic duo, but thats two huge personalities that would clash.
But, I dont like the trade, if trading was an option we shoulda traded up for Joe Haden, but hopefully we go CB in the 2nd round, maybe Javier Arenas or try and somehow get Golden Tate, that would be awesome.

Have never really heard any character problems with him, so thats always a plus.
Also he played against great D-linemen and good schemes, so it will make it easier to adjust.
See Marcus McNeil, Oher, Grubbs, other SEC guys that have been able to come in and play well early.
Jets trade pick 236 and Leon Washington to Seattle for pick 139. I guess they were done fooling with his contract issues.
Also I wonder if Julius's days are number in Seattle. Seattle gave up a 4th and 6th to TN for LenDale White.
